Delegation from Vietnam visited TSU
On September 7, representatives of the Senior Secondary Specialized School for Gifted Children named after Chang Fu visited TSU. The director of the Dang Thai Shon school and the teacher of the Russian language, Nguyen Bic Nguyen were part of the delegation. They met with the Vietnamese students who finished their school and are now doing the Program in Advertising and Public Relations.
During the meeting the guests visited the campus and got acquainted with the history of the first university of Siberia. The representatives of the school learned with great interest about the training program at our Department. Five Bachelor Students from Vietnam have already completed this program and are now in demand as professionals in communications in Vietnam.
The Department of Social Communications at the Faculty of Psychology at TSU has been teaching Vietnamese students for several years. Today twelve students from Vietnam are doing their Bachelors in Advertising and Public Relations. Most of them graduated from the school for gifted children named after Chang Fu in Haiphong. This school ranks third among the leading schools in Vietnam.
The teachers of the Haiphong School prepare their students in an atmosphere of cultural trust in Russia. Thus, several generations of graduates of this school have come to Tomsk and now study successfully at TSU.
At the end of the meeting the parties exchanged strong friendly handshakes and memorable gifts. The guests thanked the management of the Faculty and the Department of Social Communications, as well as the professors, for the warm welcome, caring attitude to the students and the quality of training.
