Education: 
She holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism and International Development Studies from University of Roskilde in Denmark. Video and short films has been and still is an important way of communicating especially to young people, which are one of the core target groups for the Nano-Science Center. Rikke Bøyesen has developed and used different types of concepts when producing videos. Videos and films are part of an overall communications strategy for the center.
Career: 
After one year working as a journalist in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Copenhagen she was employed at the Science of Faculty at University of Copenhagen in 2005 where she was working as a press officer and later as project leader in the Research Policy Office. In 2007 she was employed at the Nano-Science Center where she has been working ever since. Rikke Bøyesen is a journalist and “the good story” is always the key of the work she has carried out both concerning producing videos, writing press releases, developing educational material to high school students, in annual reports and when writing new strategies.
